Abstract
We present data for the unoccupied states of some Ce pnictides and chalcogenides, and compare them to spectra of intermetallic alloys. For the pnictides, a correlation between occupied and unoccupied states near EF is found, analogous to intermetallic alloys. It is shown that for both classes of materials the 4f spectral function in γ- and α-like compounds is influenced by the shape of the density of states as well as its angular momentum character.
