Abstract
We consider a tunnel junction with one side superconducting and the other side slightly above the superconducting transition temperature. The fluctuation-induced current in the presence of a magnetic field is calculated starting from the single-particle tunneling Hamiltonian. Our treatment takes into account nonuniform fluctuations across the normal film and for strong magnetic field deviation from the previously obtained H2 dependence is predicted. It is also verified that the field has the effect of both suppressing the transition temperature and picking out a particular momentum component of the order-parameter correlation function.
