Abstract
Ionospheric total electron content (NF) data obtained from Faraday rotation measurements at 140 MHz made at a chain of stations near the anomaly peak region in India during the ATS-6 phase II have been used to study lunar monthly and lunar daily variations. The latitudinal variations of the amplitudes of both the lunar semi-monthly (M2) and lunar semi-diurnal (L2) oscillations are similar to the latitudinal variation of TEC itself with the maximum amplitude near the anomaly peak. The phase of the lunar oscillations in TEC at these latitudes agree with those obtained earlier from ƒoF2 data.
