Abstract
Enhancement of NADP2 reduction by isolated chloroplasts is strongly affected by the purity of co factors used in the reaction mixture. The crude enzyme preparation (PPNR) supports significant enhancement. The enhancement effect is much reduced in the presence of purified co factors. These observations appear to explain some contradictory results on enhancement in the literature.
