Abstract
Using a method based on the many-body perturbation theory, the dipole and quadrupole polarizabilities and Sternheimer ionic antishielding factor have been calculated for Cr+, Mn2+, Fe3+, Co4+, and Ni5+ in Ar 3d5 isoelectronic configuration. The results include all the electron-electron interactions to first order and are similar in accuracy to the coupled Hartree-Fock method.
