Abstract

A crossover from an exponential to a stretched-exponential behaviour is observed in stress relaxation or randomly perforated aluminum and copper foils. This indicates an anomalous diffusive (classical localization) origin of the stretched-exponential behaviour, and is explained here using anomalous diffusion of (metallic) grains in the percolating fractal.
