Abstract
The chemical constituents present in the chloroform-soluble fraction of the ethanolic extract of Caltha palustris have been investigated. Two of these, caltholide and epicaltholide have been characterized as 24-nor-3β-hydroxylupan-13β,28-lactone and its 3α-isomer, respectively.
