Abstract

A lower bound is derived on the flavor-mixing contribution (c) to the down-scalar-quark mass matrix by fitting the CP-violation parameter e using scalar-quark and gluino masses consistent with phenomenology and the current experimental results on the top-quark mass and the bottom lifetime. An important predicton of this analysis is that like-sign dileptons should be observed with accumulating statistics at the CERN p-p collider. The predicted values of c in existing N=1 supergravity-based models are also examined for consistency with the above phenomenological bound.
