Abstract
CO, CH3OH, CH2COCH3, CH3COOCH3 and NH3 adsorbed on transition metal surfaces have been investigated by Auger electron spectroscopy (AFS). It is shown that AES provides fingerprints useful in characterizing adsorbed molecular species.
