Abstract

A large-N gauge model is constructed entirely in terms of gauge-invariant composite fields. The model is formulated in a canonical framework where the Hamiltonian contains only the Wilson-loop and string operators and their canonical momenta. The quarks on the end of the strings are treated as scalar particles.
