Abstract
Human somatotropin was specifically tritiated by iodination of the hormone followed by catalytic dehalogenation with sodium boro[3H]hydride. The product was indistinguishable from native human somatotropin by chromatographic, immunochemical, and biological criteria, and had a specific activity of 1.7 Ci/mmol.
