Abstract

The magnetoresistance of a weakly disordered electron gas arising from spin splitting of conduction-electron energies is calculated and found to be positive. For large fields h=gμBH/kT≫1, it goes as ln h in two and as √h in three dimensions. The sign is opposite that due to incipient localization.
