Abstract
In this paper, the authors describe a versatile pattern generation, analysis and recognition procedure, called the DeModulated Auto-Correlogram (DMAC) approach, which has proven suitable for detection/classification of a wide variety of 1-D data. The DMAC generation procedure, which is a derivative of the auto-correlation function, and its analysis methods are explained. A number of varied case studies have been presented, to highlight the proposed method's simplicity, power and robustness.
