Abstract
In view of recent work of Perepelkin on Mn54, in which he finds a definite correlation between the K X ray following K capture and the succeeding γ ray, we have measured the directional correlation between K X rays following allowed K capture and the succeeding (303+356) γ rays in the decay of Ba133. Our results can be expressed as W(θ)=1+(0.003±0.004)P2(cosθ), with an anisotropy of 0.005±0.006. These results imply little or no correlation and are consistent with Dolginov's theory.
