Abstract
We have studied the effect of an anomalous term in both vector and axial-vector Ward identities for the axial-vector-vector-vector vertex function on π0 production in the process ee→eeπ0 in the region of the spacelike masses for the photons. In particular, the behavior of the differential cross section, if observed experimentally, will help distinguish between the various possibilities and possibly identify the presence of the anomaly in the vector Ward identity.
