Abstract
Screws having more than 100 threads per inch are employed to provide fine movements in such devices as the specimen scanner of an electron microscope. A nut for such a screw often gets worn out. Preparation of the nut requires special taps. An electroforming procedure for the preparation of nuts for fine screws is described.
