Abstract
Mercury(II) trifluoroacetate brings about a facile cyclisation of aryl allenic(aryl 2,3-butadien-1-yl) ethers to 4-methyl-2H-1-benzopyrans and 4-methylene-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyrans in excellent yield.
