Abstract
The proton NMR spectrum of NH4PF6 at 77 K remains narrow even under a pressure of 14 kbar. The barrier for PF6- reorientation at 14 kbar is higher than the value at 1 bar. The asymmetry of the 19F spectrum at 77 K increases with pressure. The possibility of inequivalent chemical shifts of the 19F nuclei forming the octahedron around the phosphorus ion is discussed.
