Abstract
Intramolecular cyclisation of 1,5-biradicals generated by irradiation of o-alkenyloxy and o-alkynyloxybenzophenones led to a facile synthesis of 2-alkenyl-3-phenyl and 2-ethynyl-3-phenylbenzofurans.
