Abstract
The effect of the Shirovkov corrections to the two-body potential on the binding energy of the triton and the doublet n-d scattering length a1/2 are investigated in a simple three-boson model. The reduction in binding energy is found to be ˜5%, while the curve for a1/2 versus the potential strength shows a slight shift to the right, as a result of this correction.
