Abstract

The present paper records results of blending water with a variety of organic solvents, using various types of soaps in an attempt to provide a basis for an explanation of the phenomenon of blending. Amine salts of the fatty acids and cation active detergents have been used, since ordinary soaps are not sufficiently soluble at room temperature.
