Abstract
In continuation of the examination of the oil from the roots of Nardostachys jatamansi several hydrocarbons, a new oxide, alcohols, a poloxygenated crystalline material together with β-eudesmol, elemol, β-sitosterol, angelicin and jatamansinol, have been isolated. Jatamansin has been converted into the vasodilatory agents, dihydrosamidin and visnadin.
