Abstract
The present communication contains results of a detailed study of the horizontal drifts in the ionosphere recorded at selected northern and southern hemisphere stations. Certain important general conclusions about the differences in the behavior of drifts at the northern and southern hemisphere stations and the variation of the drift parameters with latitude are presented.
