Abstract

1. 1. Among the conjugated plasma proteins represented by fractions 1–5 in disc electropherograms, the ones that respond more readily to various stresses are 3 and 4, the common insect protein and sex-limited protein respectively. 2. 2. Starvation results in a progressive loss of bound lipids. 3. 3. Glycoprotein levels are irregular initially after food withdrawal, but rise after 10 days and later fall. 4. 4. Hypothermia results in hyperglycoproteinemia, the largest increase being in fraction 4.
