Abstract
From a statistical study of the skewness of cross-correlation functions of fading records it is concluded that there is no systematic dispersion of either type in E-region ionospheric drift records at Waltair. Strong correlation is noticed between dispersion in fading records and random movements of ionospheric irregularities represented by Vc suggesting the possibility that the latter may have an origin in dispersive ionospheric wave motions.
