Abstract
As a sequel to Rao (1967) this paper develops further the concept of generalised inverse (g-inverse) of a matrix. The class of g-inverses with the reflexive property is characterised. General solutions (X) are obtained for the matrix equations XBX = X and BXBXB = BXB.
