Abstract
Two important genera discovered by the late Prof. B. Sahni in the Deccan Intertrappean cherts at Sausar and Mohgaon Kalan, Central Provinces, India, are Sausarospermum and Massulites. The real nature of both the genera remained obscure all these years, as it was not possible to refer them with certainty to any known living or fossil plants. Tentative comparisons, therefore, were made so as to include all possibilities concerning their nature.
