Abstract

It is shown that in hadron collisions the single particle angular distribution around 90° in the C.M. system becomes, to a high degree of accuracy a function of the single variable cot θ/ρin, at all energies where the scaling law is valid. Using this result, we show that the experimental angular distributions at 19 GeV/c and 1500 GeV/c imply a definite violation of scaling. Further from the I.S.R. data on the flux of γ-rays at 90° and the angular distributions at 19 GeV/c and 1500 Gev/c, the number of pionization particles are shown to increase as some power of s, in contradiction to the scaling law.
