Abstract
The study of tho vascular anatomy of the flower of Gloriosa superba Linn., a liliaceous plant common in India and neighbouring tropical countries, has revealed the occurrence of vascular structure in the stamens and ovules, which is both unusual among angiosperms and of much phylogenetic significance.
