Abstract

We explore the feasibility of target excitations in a harmonically confined single carrier 2-D quantum dot by chirped laser pulses. Genetic Algorithm (GA) is used to optimize dynamically the parameters of the chirped pulses, leading to a kind of localization in the targeted states.
