Abstract
Mixed ligand unsymmetrical binuclear oxomolybdenum(V) derivatives, Mo2O3[S2P(OR)2]2(S2CNR'2 )2 (R=Et,n-Pr,i-Pr ori-Bu; R'=Et, R=n-Pr; NR'=N(CH2)4CH2 and Mo2O3(S2POGO)2(S2CNEt2)2 (G=-CH2CMe2-CH2-, -CMe2CMe2-) have been prepared from mononuclear oxomolybdenum(IV) dialkyl (or alkylene) dithiophosphates (1 mol) with mononuclear dioxomolybdenum(VI) dithiocarbamates (1 mol). Selected complexes have also been obtained by condensing of Mo2O4(S2CNEt2)2 (1 mol) with the corresponding dialkyl (alkylene) dithiophosphoric acids (2 mol). The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, and an octahedral environment around molybdenums has been suggested on the basis of i.r. and n.m.r. (1H,13C and 31P) spectral studies.
