Abstract
Double isopropoxides of lanthanons (La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Ho and Er) with gallium, [LnGa(OC3H71)4}3 have been synthesised by the reactions of anhydrous lanthanon chlorides with potassium gallium isopropoxide or of lanthanon isopropoxides with gallium isopropoxide in 1:3 molar ratio. These are soluble in organic solvents and appear to show a vapour pressure of 1 mm at about 140°C.
