Abstract
A number of distillable complexes have been obtained from reaction between dibutyltin diethoxide and acetylacetone, methyl acetoacetate or ethyl acetoacetate. The products are monomeric, which indicates possible octahedral configuration. The triethyltin acetylacetonate has also been shown to be monomeric in benzene, and may contain a five-coordinated tin atom. Trimethyltin methoxide also is only slightly associated in benzene or either.
