Abstract
A reanalysis of the previously reported neutron diffraction data on glassy ferromagnetic alloys suggest that the spin-wave energies of some glasses renormalize in accordance with the predictions of the itinerant-electron model. This observation is shown to have a direct bearing on the discrepancy between the spin-wave stiffness coefficient values Ds (neutron diffraction) and Dm (magnetization) found in certain amorphous ferromagnets.
