Abstract
Photo-thermal metathesis sequence emanating from the readily available 4+2-adduct 7 of norbornenobenzoquinone and cyclopentadiene leads to novel penta- and hexacyclic polyquinanes 12 and 20, respectively, which inscribe the circumference of the dodecahedrane sphere.
