Abstract
Pentacyclo[4. 4. 0. 02, 5. 03,9. 04, 8]-decane-7, 10-diones undergo facile uncaging to synthetically useful cis, syn, cis-tricyclo-[5. 3. 0. 02, 6]decane derivatives on exposure to light, Lewis acid catalysis and reduction manoeuvres.
