Abstract
The possibility of combining the advantages of circular paper chromatography with those obtained by using an automatic fraction collector for separation and isolation of substances from a mixture has been investigated. The essential features of the technique consist in the application of the method of preparative circular paper chromatography for the separation of the substances on a paper pack, followed by the elution of the components by means of a device for facilitating the flow of the solvent from the edge of the paper pack. Fig. 1 is a diagrammatic sketch of the apparatus devised.
