Abstract
Pulsed excimer laser ablation technique has been used to deposit thin films of LiNbO3 on epitaxial c-axis oriented Y1Ba2Cu307-δ films grown on (100) SrTiO3 substrates. Initial parameter optimization studies for achieving the desired stoichiometry have been performed by depositing the LiNbO3 films on (100) Si substrates and the corresponding results have been used as guidelines for realization of high quality films on the Y1Ba2Cu307-δ surface. These films are examined by using X-ray diffraction technique.
