Abstract
The non-linear differential equations describing the Volterra-Gause-Witt system have been solved in the framework of the Brillouin-Wigner perturbation method. Expressions for the population densities of the species and the frequencies of oscillations have been obtained. Two specific biological examples, one from the natural sources and the other from the controlled laboratory experiments, have been considered from the point of view of our method.
