Abstract
In sample surveys, quite often, the sample size becomes a random variable. This happens mainly in two situations, namely, (i) when the planned sample size may be fixed but the realized sample size may be random, and (ii) when planned sample size itself may be random. In the present investigation we propose a method of estimation which is quite efficient in both these situations.
