Abstract

Aminophenyl derivatives of monosaccharides were coupled to the surface of phosphatidylethanolamine containing liposomes. The glycosylated liposomes elicited in rabbits a hapten-specific immune response. The magnitude of antibody formation was nearly equivalent in the presence and the absence of Freund's adjuvant. The antibody response mediated through liposomes was better than that obtained through the protein carrier.
