Abstract
The stage-wise reaction of titanous chloride with a mixture of dichromate and cupric copper is used as the basis of a rapid method for the determination of the individual components of the mixture cited. Diphenylamine is used as indicator for the first reaction while a few drops of ferrous solution in the presence of excess thiocyanate serve as indicator for the second reaction.
