Abstract

A detailed statistical model analysis of the fission and the xn evaporation residue excitation functions along with the prefission neutron multiplicity has been carried out for mass ~200. The analysis has resulted moderately strong shell corrections at the saddle point. Consequently, the fission barriers determined differ from those obtained from earlier analysis without including the prefission neutron multiplicity data.
