Abstract
Diurnal and seasonal variations of atmospheric electric potential gradient and the effect of wind on them, have been studied, with the recordings over a period of 1 yr at this station. Negative potential gradients, observed in high wind speeds, are explained by arguing the dust particles to be negatively charged. Further, reasons are given in favour of free convection as a possible cause of sunrise effect.
