Abstract
The isolation of echioidinin, a new flavone and echioidin its glucoside from Andrographis echioides Nees. is reported. On the basis of spectral, degradative and synthetic evidence, echioidinin is shown to be 5,2'-dihydroxy-7-methoxyflavone.
