Abstract
A study of n-p annihilations with n- momentum between 0.5 and 0.8 GeV/c is presented. The search for s-channel resonances in n-p annihilations reveal possibly two narrow structures in the odd pions final state. Inclusive ρ0 and f0 cross sections in n-p annihilations have been estimated to be 9.0±0.6 mb and 3.4±0.6 mb respectively. Longitudinal and transverse momentum distributions for inclusive ρ0 production have been presented. A study of resonance production in exclusive final state reveals ρ0 production to be dominant in the odd pion final states and ρ+, ω0 productions are most important for the even pion final states. The π+ π- effective mass spectra in the backward and the forward directions in the n-p c.m. system have been examined for a possible ρ-ω interference effect.
