Abstract
A new flavone, Serpyllin, has been isolated from Andrographis serpyllifolia Wt. and its structure has been established as 5-hydroxy-7,8,2',3',4'-pentamethoxyflavone by spectral and synthetic evidence. The synthesis of 5,6,7,2',3',4'-hexamethoxyflavone is also reported.
