Abstract
The electron impact ionization cross-sections of singly and doubly charged ions, Ar+, Kr+, Xe+, Ba+, Sr+, Sn+, Ag+, Hg+, Cd+, Zn+, Ar++, Kr++, Xe++ and Hg++ have been calculated for incident electron energies up to 1000 eV using the method of Thomas and Garcia. The results of the calculation are compared with available experimental data.
