Abstract
Scale-up procedures have been obtained for geometrically similar disc-stack centrifuges using the recently computed liquid velocity profiles of Bohman. Grade-efficiency plots for a large-scale centrifuge can be obtained from experimental plots taken on a smaller unit by matching three dimensionless variables instead of only one as suggested by previous formulations.
