Abstract
We simulate QCD with low mass dynamical quarks of 1,2, and 3 flavours using a Langevin algorithm on 83× 4 lattices. Our results for the latter two cases suggest a first order chiral phase transition in both the cases which continues to be so when quark mass is raised to 0.025 in lattice units. The 1-flavour case, on the other hand, exhibits no first order phasetransition at this mass. Implications of our results on thee Pisarski-Wilczek predictions are discussed.
